Abu Dhabi fatal Alonso, Vettel is World Champion

ends in the worst way the season of Formula 1 Alonso, Ferrari and its millions of fans. At the last race of the 2010 championship, the scene in Abu Dhabi, the Spaniard closes in 7th place, leaving the stage with Sebastian Vettel. The German Red Bull, the world its first victory, he graduated as the youngest champion in history of the sport. At the start Alonso, who was taking the third position, losing just one step, helping the defending champion Jenson Button. The incident involving Michael Schumacher and Vitantonio Liuzzi after a few turns he sees the entry of the safety car: an episode that will be critical for the race, because some drivers, including the German Mercedes Rosberg and Renault's Russian Petrov, fall into the pits to change tires right out. At the pit stop on lap 15 also carries the mandatory Fernando Alonso. The Ferrari mechanic, who had seen pull Webber in the previous round, are trying to counter this move to take Australia and Red Bull. A strategy that turns out to be fatal, because it falls so Alonso ahead of Webber, but behind the surprising Petrov, who for 40 long rounds will brake his run to the title. The men of the Horse thought to enclose Webber, forgetting that in the title race was even (and especially) Vettel. When Ferrari test in English but could not pass the car in front of him, even the most confident fans began to haul down the flags. The tears of Vettel, who thanked the radio mechanics and all the men of his team, are the icing on a cake packaged for a super season of the Austrian team, which was presented to Abu Dhabi with the manufacturers' title in his pocket. Too bad for Alonso, who led a triumphal ride ended with the overtaking Webber in two races from the end of the World. The new season will start again in March 2011, with Ferrari intends to recur at the start with the pair Alonso-Massa (Brazil, in the shade throughout the tournament, will prove to be still useful to the cause): surely we must try not to fail appointments like this, thinking to themselves first, and then their opponents. Perhaps, in this sense, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has served as a lesson.
